Nervous System Regulation Listening Therapies
I am a certified provider of Unyte Health’s Polyvagal-informed listening therapies—the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) and Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP). These evidence based gentle, music-based therapies work directly with your nervous system helping to access areas of healing that words alone may not reach.
SSP
SSP is a five hour listening programme, using specially filtered music to support the body in shifting towards a state of greater safety, calm, and connection.
SSP is Reducing anxiety, calming sensory sensitivities, improving emotional regulation, and moving out of chronic "fight, flight, or freeze" states.
RRP
RRP is a soothing, restorative listening pathway designed for deeper physiological recovery. It focuses on shifting the body into a state of deep rest, supporting cellular recovery and internal body awareness (interoception).
Its supportive for chronic exhaustion, burnout, sleep difficulties, and recovering from long-term stress.
How I work with RRP and SSP
I offer Unyte programmes integrated into ongoing therapy, and as standalone therapies.
Standalone
Following an intake process, depending on the individual, we may listen in weekly sessions together, or complete the listening at home using the official Unyte app on your smartphone paired with high-quality, over-ear headphones. With remote listening we will meet online to check in, monitor your pacing, and support your integration.
Integrated into therapy
When integrated into therapy, we may integrate the listening into part of our therapy sessions, or complete the listening ipredominantly as at an home after an initial intake to assess the right pace and structure for you as an individual.
Careful attention is always given to ensuring that the process feels safe, contained, and responsive to your needs.
Fees
There is a monthly subscription fee of £50 for a Unyte with access to RRP or SSP.
Initial consultations, intake and ongoing support time is charged at my standard rates (or included in existing therapy appointments)
The amount of support time varies, depending on the level of need and whether its offered independently or integrated into ongoing therapy.
If you are curious about whether either RRP or SSP might be a good fit, I am happy to talk this through as part of an initial consultation, where we can go through an intake form, access suitability and formulate a plan.
